ARRIVING IN BATH BY COACH

As a major visitor destination, Bath welcomes groups and coach parties, and there are regular services to the city with National Express.

 

COACH CONTACT INFORMATION

  • Coach parking is managed by Bath and North East Somerset Council Parking Services. They can be contacted via their website at: www.bathnes.gov.uk or telephoned on 01225 4771334.

 

COACH DROP OFF

When bringing a coach to Bath, the main drop off point is Riverside Coach and Lorry Park (BA1 1UE). Centrally located and well signed from all major access roads, the coach park is a convenient set-down point located just a 5 minute level walk from Bath’s main shopping areas and attractions.

 

COACH PARKING

Long stay coach parking is available at the Riverside Coach and Lorry Park (BA1 1UE).  There are approximately 41 spaces, and charges apply from 08:00 – 19:00.  Coin, notes and credit/debit card facilities are available on site.  For charges, please see www.bathnes.gov.uk.

 

NATIONAL EXPRESS COACHES

National Express coaches offer good value travel, linking all major towns and cities in Europe. Services to Bath bus station run from many of the country’s major destinations, with frequent direct services from London and its major airports arriving in the city via the convenient M4 motorway link.

 

ARRIVING IN BATH BY BUS

Travelling around Bath by bus is easy and there are a number of routes from the centre to the City’s outer areas.

Several bus operators provide services in and around Bath.  First Group is the largest and they operate from the bus station in Dorchester Street. You can enjoy a number of great days out by bus to explore the surrounding areas.  Ideas for places to visit include a trip to Bradford-on-Avon or the village of Lacock.

BathRider bus tickets allow a day or week unlimited travel on every bus in Bath (except Park & Ride and Tours).  Tickets are available from Bath Tourist Information Centre, Bath bus station and the Tourism Centre on Platform 1, Bath Spa train station.

Bath City Sightseeing A regular link to Prior Park Landscape Garden is available at no additional transport charge to City Sightseeing customers.
