The Holburne Museum
The Royal Crescent and The Circus
- Designed by John Wood the younger, the Royal Crescent was built between 1767 and 1774. It is among the greatest examples of Georgian architecture found in the United Kingdom. Number 1 is open to the public and was the first house to be built in the Crescent providing luxury accommodation for the aristocratic visitors who came to take the waters and enjoy the social season.
