This Bath house is a relatively new addition to the city, having been built in the 1970s.   It was designed by an award winning practice well known for their eco-friendly buildings.   The house is on the edge of Hedgemead Park, and the walk into town (10 mins.) is down Walcot Street through the artisan quarter, where all the shops are individual and interesting.

Building space in Bath is at a premium, and good use has been made of this available site for the terrace of houses of which this is one.   At ground level is a forecourt big enough to park a large car, and beyond this is a garage.   The ground floor of the house has a utility room and cloakroom.   The first floor provides a good-sized reception room with decorative fireplace and useable balcony with views over the city.   There is also a large kitchen-dining room, with attractive fitted units.
